The management and prevention of self harm and suicide in young people
The management and prevention of self harm and suicide in young people is a conference being held in London and run by BASPCAN. Deliberate self harm and suicidal behaviours in children and young people is a growing problem and presents professionals with particular complex challenges. The conference will explore:
• prevalence and causes
• identification of those at risk
• the physiological effect of drugs and substances commonly associated
• the lifelong impact of failing to address these issues
• work being done to develop effective services to improve outcomes for those living such troubled lives.
