Substance Misuse Worker - Torquay
Salary: £21,909 - £24,958
Are seeking to recruit a Substance Misuse Worker to support existing work, who will provide intensive support to young people aged under 18 with substance misuse issues and will join an established team of Substance Misuse Workers at Check Point and partner agencies. You must be motivated and creative with the ability to engage with highly vulnerable young people. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work creatively with young people as well as positive partnership working with colleagues eg, YOT, Children's Service and IYSS. Student Transition Support Service Co-Ordinator
Salary: £14,932 - £17,009 - 21 hrs/wk
The Children's Society is developing a Student Transitional Support Service to provide intensive support to young people in East Devon who require additional support during the transition period between primary and secondary school. This post will be based at Honiton Children's Centre on Fridays and the rest of the working week will be spent working throughout East Devon. Funding is provided by East Devon Local Children's Trust and is secured until 31 March 2011.
You will be responsible for assisting the Programme Manager in the co-ordination and development of the Service, ensuring that children and young people receive appropriate support to meet their needs around school inclusion and transition.
