ACT BY RIGHT:

Skills for the active involvement of children and young people in making change happen is a new resource pack from the NYA that takes young people through five stages of a journey to develop the knowledge and skills to take effective action on issues that concern them. It is an accredited workbook (ASDAN) designed to be used primarily with teenagers and is rooted in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is divided into five units, each of which has three aims and each aim has three activities, and it takes about 3 hours to complete each aim with an hour at the end of each aim needed for review. This means that it will take about 50 hours to get through the whole workbook, with the activities in the pack designed for groups of ten young people.
